The Body

The role of the practitioner is not to produce healing, but to create and protect the conditions in which healing can occur.

What is carried out matters.
How it is carried out matters more.

Care is expressed through:

— precision in action
— clarity in judgment
— and restraint where interference would disrupt the body’s process

The body responds to conditions.

Healing is influenced by the interaction between:

— the body
— the environment
— and the systems that shape both

Healing is often the result of conditions established, protected, and sustained with care.

I do the work that requires skill.
The body completes the process.
The conditions must sustain it.
